SAT Preparation in Malaysia Klang
The SAT is a widely accepted US university admissions test, used alongside or instead of the ACT by most American colleges. Since 2024 it’s been fully digital — taken on a laptop or tablet through College Board’s Bluebook app, both in the US and internationally.
My Home Tuition offers one-to-one SAT preparation, as well as small-group sessions for students applying alongside friends. We focus on Math and English in whatever balance actually fits the student — not an even split by default.

The digital SAT
The SAT moved fully digital in 2024 — every administration, US and international, is now taken on a laptop or tablet through College Board’s Bluebook testing app, not on paper. The test runs about 2 hours 14 minutes and covers Reading and Writing, then Math, with an on-screen Desmos graphing calculator available for the entire Math section.
A note if you’ve seen older SAT guides mentioning paper booklets: those describe the retired format. If you’re testing in 2026 or later, you’ll sit the current digital version regardless of what any older material describes.
SAT test dates
The SAT is now offered on the same calendar for US and international students there’s no longer a separate, more limited international schedule. For the 2026–27 testing year, dates are:
| Test date | Registration deadline |
| August 22, 2026 | August 7, 2026 |
| September 12, 2026 | August 28, 2026 |
| October 3, 2026 | September 18, 2026 |
| November 7, 2026 | October 23, 2026 |
| December 5, 2026 | November 20, 2026 |
| March 6, 2027 | February 19, 2027 |
| May 1, 2027 | April 16, 2027 |
| June 5, 2027 | May 21, 2027 |
That’s eight sittings a year rather than the four some older guides describe. Registration typically closes around two and a half weeks before test day, with a later, fee-carrying deadline for late registration.
Test centre availability in Malaysia varies by date and location. Register directly through your College Board account at [collegeboard.org](https://www.collegeboard.org) to confirm seats near you and lock in your preferred date — availability at popular centres can fill up well before the registration deadline.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions about SAT preparation in Malaysia
No. The SAT has been fully digital since 2024, both in the US and internationally. It’s taken on a laptop or tablet through College Board’s Bluebook app.
No. College Board discontinued SAT Subject Tests worldwide in January 2021. If you’ve seen older materials referencing them, they’re outdated — Subject Tests are not part of current college admissions.
Eight times a year: August, September, October, November and December, then March, May and June. International students now sit the same calendar as US students rather than a separate, more limited schedule.
Most US universities accept either and don’t prefer one. The digital SAT is adaptive and shorter; the ACT is linear, non-adaptive, and includes an optional Science section. We usually recommend a diagnostic in each before committing to one.
Yes. Group sizes of 2 to 5+ students receive discounts of 20% to 50% per person, provided the group is at a broadly similar level.
RM 3,200 for 20 hours of one-to-one tuition, plus a RM 250 registration fee for new students. Group discounts apply for friends preparing together.
Directly through your College Board account at collegeboard.org. Malaysia has several international test centres; availability varies by date, so registering early is worthwhile.
Most students benefit from starting several months before their target test date, though this depends on current level and target score. We assess this in the first session.
