GED Course Structure:
The new 2022 computer-based GED test from GED Testing Service has four parts:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA) (150 minutes)
- Mathematical Reasoning (90 minutes)
- Science (90 minutes)
- Social Studies (90 minutes)

The test is available in English and Spanish, and you can take each part up to three times in a one-year period.
GED Test Subjects:
The GED test is made up of 4 subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all 4 tests at once – you can space them out however it suits you and go at your own pace. Here is an overview of what is on the GED, by subject area.
